Senior Paralegal – Kolko & Associates, P.C.

Tina Martinez is a Senior Paralegal at Kolko & Associates, P.C where she specializes in family-based immigration cases, non-immigrant visas, naturalization cases, and removal litigation.   Tina also acts as the law firm’s manager/office administrator.  She has worked with Mr. Kolko for more than 15 years and she is responsible for assisting Mr. Kolko with the business administration of the law firm.  Tina plays an important role with ensuring the smooth running of the firm’s operations. 

Tina has a Paralegal Certificate from the University of Colorado at Denver, and more than 28 years of professional experience as a paralegal, professional legal secretary and administrator at law firms, including those involved with immigration, bankruptcy, real estate, personal injury, insurance defense, workers’ compensation, family law and criminal law. 

Tina has been a member of the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association since 1985. 

In addition to her dedicated professional work, she has personal interests in Native American Culture, children’s rights, health and exercise, and enjoying the outdoors of Colorado. She is also devoted to her family.  Tina has one adult son, and recently became a grandmother.  Tina is a devoted parent raising two young nieces, while being the proud godmother to 13 children.

 

 

 

Senior Paralegal – Kolko & Associates, P.C.

Danelle Fifer is a Senior Paralegal at Kolko & Associates, where she specializes in non-immigrant investment cases, non-immigrant workers, and international intra-corporate transfers.   Danelle has a broad range of experience in the field of immigration and brings over 10 years of professional experience to her work at Kolko & Associates, P.C.

Danelle is a Colorado native and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in history (with a minor in political science) from Colorado State University in 1999.  She has also earned a professional certificate from the Denver Paralegal Institute in 2001.

In addition to her dedication on behalf of her clients at the, Danelle is committed to a variety of volunteer projects.  She has made appearances at Legal Night, where she provides free information about immigration law to members of the community.  She also volunteers in the Western History Genealogy Department at the Denver Public Library.  Danelle’s immigration work has heightened her appreciation for world cultures.  She travelled to Italy in 2010, and is planning a 2011 trip to Africa.

Margaret Mountain

Senior Paralegal – Kolko & Associates, P.C.

Margaret Mountain is a Senior Paralegal at Kolko & Associates, where she specializes in various complex immigration cases including EB-1 Petitions (extraordinary aliens & athletes), Appeals and Motions.   She has been a valuable member of the firm’s professional staff since 2005.

Margaret earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from Metro State University in 1980 and her Master of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Northern Colorado in 1990. 

Margaret is a certified mediator and has a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from the Denver Paralegal Institute.  Margaret brings a broad range of professional legal experience to her work at Kolko & Associates, P.C. as she has worked in a variety of legal settings, including the District Attorney’s Office, and in law firms practicing criminal defense, civil litigation, family law, and plaintiff’s personal injury law.

In the 1990’s, Margaret was the legislative aide to the Colorado House Minority Leader, where she encountered the realities and roadblocks of passing legislation.  Margaret has two grown children and has the experience of being a small business owner. 

 

 

Hye Jun Yoon

Senior Paralegal – Kolko & Associates, P.C.

Hye Jun Yoon is a Senior Paralegal at Kolko & Associates, where she currently specializes in employment-based residency, non-immigrant investor visas, religious workers and special immigrant petitions.   She has also gained experience in the field of family-based immigrant cases and she regularly assists the Firm with the needs of all our Korean-speaking clientele.

Hye Jun is a skilled bilingual communicator, and has been one of the firm’s Korean Translators since 2005.  She participates in many client meetings with the attorney and carefully guides the communications between English & Korean.  Her duties have included interpreting at immigration interviews and at the Immigration Court, as well as supervising the firm’s document translation services.   She has also assisted with translating at legal seminars before several Korean Civic Associations.

Hye Jun is a proud 2009 graduate of the University of Colorado, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.  She is a member of the Public Accountants Society of Colorado.   She is also involved with many outdoor activities, her family and the community. 

Jadwiga Plachy

Senior Paralegal – Kolko & Associates, P.C.

Jadwiga “Jaddy” Plachy is a Senior Paralegal at Kolko & Associates, where she specializes in both employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant cases.

Prior to joining Kolko & Associates, P.C. in 2008, Jaddy lived in Chicago, Illinois, where she worked as a paralegal at the largest immigration law firm in the Midwest.  In her position in Chicago, Jaddy worked on a large variety of immigration cases, and acted as the firm’s Polish translator in immigration court and during immigration interviews.

Jaddy is a naturalized U.S. Citizen (originally from Poland), so she has first-hand knowledge of the emotional highs and lows of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization process.  Jaddy is a 2002 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology.  When Jaddy isn’t working hard to help accomplish the goals of the firm’s clients, she enjoys travel, reading, and photography, family and the outdoor beauty of Colorado.

 

Denisse Castillo

Paralegal – Kolko & Associates, P.C.

Denisse Castillo is a Paralegal at Kolko & Associates, P.C. where she specializes in family-based immigration and naturalization cases.  Denisse has been with Kolko & Associates, P.C. since 2008, and she skillfully provides bilingual translation services to all the firms Spanish-speaking clients. Denisse also coordinates the Firm’s current program with the Peruvian Counsel in Denver, where the Firm frequently provides immigration consultation services.

Denisse is a native of Mexico and a 2002 graduate of the Universidad Autonoma of Guadalajara, Mexico Law School, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree and license to practice criminal law (in Mexico) in accordance with Mexican judicial protocol.    

After graduation, Denisse moved to the United States, where she took English language classes at the University of Colorado at Boulder. 

From 2006 to 2008, Denisse worked for the Consulate General of Mexico, where she practiced family law and performed as a Public Notary, a position held only by a lawyer in accordance with Mexican judicial protocol.   At the Consulate General, Denisse came face to face with the needfulness of the Latino community and decided to enter the immigration field.   

Denisse is a proud United States Citizen and is dedicated to the interests of immigrants in the U.S. She is passionate about physical fitness and is currently training for a full marathon (26.2 miles).  She also enjoys snowboarding, travel, visiting new places, and learning new things. 

 

Rachel Klein

Paralegal – Kolko & Associates, P.C.

Rachel Klein is a paralegal that recently joined Kolko & Associates in 2010.  She brings an advanced Master Degree education to her skills at the firm where she currently specializes in family-based immigration, non-immigrant H-1B visas and immigrant visa processing overseas. 

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Rhetoric, from The University of Maryland in 2005, and her Master’s Degree in Public and International Affairs with a focus on Human Security, from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs in 2009. 

At the firm, Rachel also devotes a portion of her time assisting Mr. Kolko with his active involvement on the Executive Committee of the Colorado Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and his involvement with the Executive Committee of the Immigration Section of the Colorado Bar Association.  

In addition to her work, Rachel is actively involved in a number of humanitarian, policy, and international advocacy organizations, such as Amnesty International, The Human Rights Campaign, and Defenders of Wildlife. 

Prior to working for Kolko & Associates, Rachel interned for a few Denver, Colorado  Non-profit Organizations, where she helped lobby on behalf of several 2010 CO House and Senate Bills.

 

 

Keon Yeong Koh

Legal Assistant – Kolko & Associates, P.C.

Keon Yeong Koh is a bilingual legal assistant and Korean Translator at Kolko & Associates. P.C.   She presently assists with family based cases, and serves the interests of the firm in a supporting role.

Keon Yeong recently graduated from Colorado University, Boulder where she was enrolled in the music program with a specialization in Piano Performance.   

She is talented musician who recently composed original music which was performed at her Senior Recital.  This was the last of her Bachelor of Music Degree requirements.

Keon Yeong is originally from Mokpo, South Korea, where she grew up as a young girl.  Keon Young and her family immigrated to the United States in 2000 and she has lived in Colorado since that time.   During her free time, Keon Yeong enjoys yoga and working out at the gym, and spending time with her friends & family.
